Do you have any experience with HDR photography?

Not a bit.

Why do you want to join this meetup?

I love photography and I'm fascinated by the additional artistic "feel" that HDR gives these pictures. My first thought when I saw the pics was, "Oh, I so have to learn to do that!" Of course, I need a better cam (on my to-do list).

How much photography experience do you have?

Well, I've been taking pictures since I was 12. I usually get hit up to take photos at events; but, I love nature shots. My last round of pics were of the orchids at the US Botanic Gardens. I do tweak & crop pictures on my laptop as well (although I don't have the software that you mentioned). The orchid pic modifications compensated for my lack of a high-end zoom lens (e.g.,; so, now I know that I need to get more sophisticated.

Do you know of any locations that would be good for HDR photography?

I'll have to think on that.

Awesome pics! Finding you is perfect timing since I need a new cam (thanks for posting the cam req list)! My next evolution is going to be astrophotography and, since I've seen these HDR shots, I'd like to learn these techniques as well ~
