How did you light up the flowers? After a 2.5 hr drive into the District last night to shoot on the Tidal Basin, I got some nice landscapes of the monuments but my flowers in the foreground are dark. I figured I could lighten them up in LR, but, to no avail. I'm curious to know how you pulled this off assuming you shot multiple exposures for HDR. Advice is most appreciated.

Tony, I emailed you, but as the title of the meet says, "Light Painting". See: http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Learn-And-Explore/Article/gn9f48zh/lighting-techniques-light-painting.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_painting

Steve, thanks for your email. I don't feel so bad now that I understand that there is a technique behind this. This also explains why I was seeing so many people walking around with Darth Vader swords. I thought that had something to do with the recent world events. :-D Think I'll go back this weekend with my Cyclops head lite to reshoot. Maybe I can find a Charlie Brown tree that has a blossom after tomorrow's rain.
