I love High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography and everybody seems to think it's too hard or too complicated. I want to demystify it and teach what I know about it. It seems to me that people either love it or hate it. But, I think it has a very useful purpose. HDR images can be very realistic and also very surrealistic. It just depends on your person taste. I can show you how to compose your shots, pick the right subjects, how to setup your camera to photograph in HDR and how to post process your images. I've used Photoshop CS5 HDR Pro, Photomatix, Nik's HDREfex Pro and my new favorite Oloneo  Photoengine. I'm hoping we can all learn, share our knowledge and have fun. All experience levels are welcome to join.

General requirements:

A digital camera capable of exposure bracketing or a manual setting.

A digital camera capable of shooting in RAW. (But .jpg will work too)

A tripod/monopod is very useful

HDR software such as Nik's HDREfex, Photoshop CS5,  Photomatix or Oloneo Photoengine

(free trials are available for HDREfex Pro, Photomatix and Oloneo))

Image editing software such as Photoshop, Photoshop elements or equivalent.

A wide angle lens is also nice to have although any lens will do.

A cable release is optional but useful.

A willingness to learn, share and have fun.
