The model CITIZEN

Our society is partly the result of adopting ideas and principles of model societies envisioned from Socrates to Rawls and influences in ways we cannot always know.

But I thought it would be a good exercise to develop what the model citizen would be like for the society we now have?

The question before us will be given the world exactly as it is without changing a thing; what are the attributes of the model citizen we would have live in this world?

Will the model citizen look like a movie star or like you and I?

Can there be more than one model citizen?

Please come help with this Sim City style exercise?

    Let us continue this discussion?

I think an interesting question to consider is "What is the status of a citizen that has lost trust in government?"

Is that person of equal citizenship status as one who trusts the government?

And is it different if we replace government with society?

Questions of citizenship touch on many aspects and one of them justice. I think these videos on justice are the best available.

Good topic...any background reading or stimulating article we could take a look at before our meeting?

Can anyone name a person that appears to you to be a model citizen?

From law abiding and helpful to inspirational, that is some range to hit.

So this is what we would have of our model citizens to occasionally allow an infraction or three?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
