At our fourth Friday meetups we offer a demo, discussion or tutorial for those who would like to participate. If special supplies are needed a supply list will be published on the site.
However, everyone is always welcome to work at their own pace on whatever project they wish.
These sessions are very relaxed, and a good time to share techniques or ask questions.
Bring your art journal, gluebook or other supplies. Not sure about gluebooks or art journals? Check our discussion area for links to how-to lessons and videos to help you get started.
Recently Nancy Standlee spoke at an Irving Art Association meeting and her work really inspired me. http://pinterest.com/NancyStandlee/
So I started Googling and Pinterest-ing and found something I thought would be fun to do at our Meetup. I've attached a picture of a collage by Umberto Manzo.
For your collage please bring:
Paper to use in the collage. It could be from a magazine, from sheets you have painted yourself, scrapbook papers, etc. Bring enough for at least 3-4 hands.
Glue stick, matte medium or other glue of your choice
Cardstock, Mixed Media or Watercolor Paper to use as a background.
Paint or markers if you want to make collage papers during the Meet-up.
Scissors, paper cutter, straight edge
and any other supplies you think you may need.
