We're taking a road trip down to Austin and grabbing coffee at Houndstooth Coffee Shop and making a whole day of it. Driving back that night or the next morning. I just wanted to see who would be interested in going.

Thanks for the help and suggestions for the road trip.

We can all meet up at the coffee house at 1. After we could tour UT or go visit the capital. After we could grab lunch somewhere around town or at a food truck park. Not I'm sure who all will be going back to Dallas that day but I'll be staying overnight never been to Austin so want to experience 6th street nightlife.

Well it was only the 2 of us that ended up showing up but we still had a good time. If we ever have a meet up like this please update your RSVP so we have a head count.

So it looks like most of the people who said they'd come have dropped out. Is this still on?

I'm going to be driving down myself and also going to be staying overnight and leaving that morning. If anyone is interested in carpooling then send me a message. Also I'll post my number a few days before so everyone could call for ETA.

Go on their tourism website and see if anything will be going on. I might make it, too, and will be happy to assist.

Tour Capitol, get coffee on S. Congress, go to their botanical gardens, Barton Creek, UT, eat on the strip, 6th.Street, hike off of 360, visit the museums, eat off of Lamar, drive out to Lake Travis watch the sunset...used to live there when I was in acupuncture school some years ago. Austin is like Mecca for coffee and dining.

I'm trying to come up with different things we could all do around the city but I'm having trouble. If anyone has any suggestions then I would appreciate it. This will be my first time going down to Austin.
