What are you interested in, hobby gardening, self sufficiency gardening, community gardening or commercial farming (or all of these)?

self sufficiency gardening. Edible landscaping, raised bed gardening, organic gardening.

What gardening/farming experience do you have?

I have cinder-block raised beds now and it produced quite well even until this scorching heat.e I'm trying to landscape using edibles (vegetables and herbs so far.) There are good books on Edible landscaping. I planted bareroot fruit trees in our red clay and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They're doing well thus far and I pray they'll bare fruit in a couple of years. Go roots go.

What makes aquaponics interesting to you?

Self sufficiency and the utilization of our pond. I stocked it with fingerlings and now they're monsters. The pond is 25 feet deep so they winter well there.

Hi, I'm Bea. I have a quarter acre clay-based pond and would love to learn how to have an aquaponics system that utilizes the catfish, koi and bluegill that already make the pond their home.
