What are you interested in, hobby gardening, self sufficiency gardening, community gardening or commercial farming (or all of these)?

Home gardening - fresh vegetables and herbs for us and plenty to give away to friends.

What gardening/farming experience do you have?

We have been gardening for over 45 years. I am currently starting up my first system - a barrelponics test system. If I end up killing all my fish and plants I'd rather it not be a greenhouse full.

What makes aquaponics interesting to you?

I see great potential for application in 3rd world cultures. Keeping people fed one family at a time.

My wife and I have lived in Arlington for 35 years. We have been gardening "forever." We both grew up in gardening families - Iowa farming heritage. I am trying to learn all I can about aquaponics, specifically for application in 3rd world cultures.
