What are you interested in, hobby gardening, self sufficiency gardening, community gardening or commercial farming (or all of these)?

Self sufficiency, commercial, fish, plants. Go.

What gardening/farming experience do you have?

Experience with heirloom tomatoes (with success mostly in the fall). Aquaponics - I've studied it for a few years. Put together a system a year ago but only fired it up (added gravel, fish, plants) a few months ago.

What makes aquaponics interesting to you?

Weedlessness! High production potential. Fish. Potential year round gardening. Sustainability (family, community, culture, and beyond) It is also a joy to work with the land and animals. I am just getting to know this wonder. It is an adventure worthy of and more importantly, perhaps necessary for every human.

I have a one tote, barrel flushing aquaponics system with a (J syphon?) mechanism for flushing. I am committed to natural, non-pesticide, organic gardening means. Many plans on the table. I'm ready for a larger system - summer and winter ready.
