GETTING UNSTUCK: How REBT and CBT can help--Part 1

  • This location is shown only to members

Dear Awesome Members,

One member suggested this topic:

Hesitation and excessive thinking, analyzing to the point of paralyzing the need to act.

Another member suggest this one:
Breaking cycles such as being obsessive, controlling, perfectionism and wanting to have everything under control.

So, what do these have in common?  Over-thinking, perfectionism, analysis-paralysis.

Attend this meetup to learn how I've used REBT and CBT to help coaching clients who run into this very dilemma.

You'll learn:

what REBT and CBT have to say about this

beliefs that might be at play and how to help yourself revise them

how to use a cost benefit analysis to give up an unhelpful idea (such as I must stay in control or I must consider every outcome to prepare or I'm not capable)

helpful ideas that might work better

Of course, I'm happy to coach you in the group if this a topic of concern to you.  It will give you an opportunity to see how I use these techniques with clients.  Let me know if you think you might want to take advantage of that.

Thanks again for your participation & looking forward to seeing you at this meetup,

Dr. Pam

Hi, Minas. If you are moved from the waiting list to the attendees list, yes certainly. I would anticipate one or two might change their RSVP to no before the week is up, allowing you to attend. Thank you!

I have sent an e-mail to be a volunteer, if that subject is too lengthy I can discuss my difficulty in finishing my long-term disability form. Please advise
