We all remember how helpless we felt on 9/11, watching the smoke billow from the Twin Towers into the Manhattan sky, or seeing the charred wreckage of Flight 93 in a field in Pennsylvania, or staring at the gaping hole in the Pentagon. On 9/12, we recall the lines at the American Red Cross for blood donation, the flags waving proudly from poles, porches, and buildings, and the feeling of determination and patriotism that was rediscovered in all of us by the previous day's events. The Dearborn County 9/12 Challenge Group aims to rekindle that flame. We want to relearn our American history, learn to become self-reliant, and act as a beacon of hope and inspiration to others who want to do the same. If you share these common interests, join us. I will state up-front that some of the material that we will go over will be pulled from the Glenn Beck Program, but regardless of your political leanings or like or dislike of Glenn Beck, you will be welcome as we feel that we can all agree on certain issues and principles.
