I would be interested in both.
At the end of last year, I promissed to start getting this group to start doing some of the things that I started last year, and did not get moving on, as well as things you guys wanted from me.
To that end... I have begun putting together the first two items:
Many of you said you wanted to learn how to program. I have begun the process of putting together notes on the basics of programming. My idea is to put together a basic project that covers all the basics that would allow you to learn, and use as a template for anything you would like. My target for the first class would be 2/25. I was thinking this would be the first of about 4 or 5 sessions. But my notes are not complete yet.
I have begun looking at books and think I have found a book to use for studying. I debated back and forth between the LPIC and RHCE, and decided on RHCE due to professional enhancement seemed greater with RHCE. So, the book I am looking at is "Hands-On Guide to the Red Hat Exams: RHCSA and RHCE Cert Guide and Lab Manual", by Damian Tommaino. One of the reasons for this selection was that it covered both RHCSA (the first cert you need) as well as the RHCE, and it was available from Barns & Noble for my Nook.
If anyone would be interested in either of these... please let me know so that I will know where to put my efforts in providing what you want.
