As a local Foodie myself, I wanted to spread the word about this new concept that has come to Des Moines! I actually was lucky enough to head this up in our wounderful city of Des Moines. I was thinking how great would it be to share this on Meet Up to bring all local foodies to the next event, coming up May 21st ! I'm attaching some info etc..

Maybe you wont like the restaurant, Dishcrawls are about trying four places one night to sample a lot of different cuisine and finding the place for you. It's like anything else you can go to a play, or a movie you may or may not like it but you try it and decide! Check out this local blog about our recent Dishcrawl and see what it's all about:

You have a several good questions! The western corridor is a fancy way of saying western area of Des Moines. Many parts of Des Moines have names such as East Village, Western Gateway, Sherman Hill, they all have there own community and culture to that area. A Dishcrawl is a social foodie event, it's a chance to meet people who have the same interest in food and local food arts. People from all walks of life and ages come together one night who have one thing in common the love of community and food. Your paying for a social event, a way to sample local restaurants as well as meet the owner/chef to each restaurant, to better understand what the restaurant is about, the inspiration, make a personal connection. Your paying for an experience, its not just about food, or restaurants, or people, your paying for all in one. To sample somewhere new or something new at somewhere you have been. Meeting new people in the community, and supporting local restaurants.

Why buy ticket if we are going to local restaurants? Why would I buy a ticket four restaurant that I don't have names to? Maybe I won't want to go there and then I am stuck with a ticket?
