3rd culinary session and french dinner at LUCCA

Chef Taoufik Essaidi and Guest Chef Katie Greenwood, a recent graduate of the Culinary Arts Program from the Iowa Culinary Institute at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC).

This fun and fresh culinary session will take place at Lucca restaurant, located at 420 E. Locust St. in Des Moines’ East Village. Culinary presentation will commence at 6:45 p.m. with a three-course dinner to follow.

In this exciting third session, Essaidi and Greenwood explore a seafood- inspired theme reflecting French cuisine. Greenwood will give a demonstration of steaming mussels ‘à la style Provençal’ and Essaidi will prepare a fresh Red snapper, to be served with a purée of parsnips and an orange mousse. Dinner will be concluded with a delectable sabayon dessert as created by Greenwood.

Guests are invited to bring the beverage (beer or wine) of their choice to accompany this delicious meal. Cost is $30/person at the door (cash or check).
