We have had poor turn out for the past several meetings, any reason you can think of?
One member has suggested, on the Message Board, that we take some pictures of architecture. This is good depending on where, some ideas please.
Another member wants to make you aware of a course being taught:
I would like to inform your membership about the digital photo academy sponsored by panasonic - (www.digitalphotoacademy.com) all cameras are welcome. I teach the advanced classes, in
philadelphia- once a month on different topics. classes include a portfolio review, a shoot in the field, and critique, and technical information. please contact me or dpa for further information
thank you. hinda schuman. ( www.hindaschuman.net)
Digital Photo Academy Advanced Class, Philadelphia PA
November 1, 2008
This month?s class is encouraged for women only*. All the technical questions, artistic questions, and photographic questions you might have been thinking about but have been afraid to ask because you might sound silly, not smart, and inexperienced in photography. (You are none of the above anyway!)
This class is a portfolio review, and questions answered class as well as shooting. We will start the day, if most are interested with a sunrise shoot at the Schuylkill River. We will spend a certain amount of time at an undisclosed coffee house with free WiFi so we can look for answers if we cannot find them in our heads. I will also show you books, websites, and offer other suggestions about finding answers to your
questions when not in a class, or do not have access to a guru or mentor.
* Well-behaved men, are welcome to join this class and participate fully
The cost is: Beginner $50 | Intermediate $65 | Advanced $150
I would like to have a meeting over coffee to discuss what you would like to do and where we should go for some picture taking adventures.
Let me know what you think by replying to this group email.
