Announcing a new Meetup for The New Discount Dining Club!

What: `A Celebration of Brazilian Cuisine at Guanabara`

When: Wednesday, January 20,[masked]:00 PM

Price: GBP15.50 per person

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Well we all need a dose of Brazilian sunshine at the moment so what better time to take a trip down to Guanabara, home of all things Brazilian, gorgeous food and cool live music.
GUANABARA is London?s largest Brazilian late night venue. The name comes from the Tupi-Guarani language name for the famous bay in Rio de Janeiro, the gateway to Brazil and a home of blazing extremes.
I will put our menu up in a day or two but basically you will have a main course and a desert (or starter) for ?15 (The 50p is the paypal fee) You can basically choose anything on the guanabara menu except the platters (which are for two people) Drinks can be purchased seperately from the bar in the restaurant.
Tonight is a very special night at this great venue as they celebrate Rio`s patron saint Saint Sebastian.
8.30pm BRAZIL: RHYTHMS & COLOURS: Over 1 hour split in 2 acts, the show tells the country?s history through music and dance. From the discovery of Brazil to its ballroom dances and finishing with a spectacular display of the Brazilian carnival mixed with Carmen Miranda and The Girls from Ipanema. Costumes are the highlights of the show, with vibrant colours and fantastic designs. .
10pm Playing live is the wonderful Chico Chagas & Gafieira Brasil, a 7-piece band (featuring acclaimed saxophonist Dave O?Higgins) including percussion, drums, accordion, sax, guitar, flute and clarinet that will make you dance the night away!
Come for the meal only or stay with us to the very end. The choice is yours!
