Celebrate St Pat, & all that's Irish

The weather forecast for this evening is for "Freezing drizzle". I do not recommend driving. I'm going to change the event Meetup location to McCormack's Whisky Grill. There are numerous bars within walking distance. Please join us if you can do so safely.

Great crowd, good beer, and food. Wherever you go and whatever you do,
May the luck of the Irish be there with you.

      Best of luck!
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

To mitigate having "blue" toes on a soul that's "green" with envy, what are some suggestions for a warm-hearted o'parking space? Or must we just rely on more luck than the Irish can proffer?

Haha! Great prose there! Parking can be tough are having a leprechaun on your shoulder or a lucky charm in your pocket helps.
You may have to park a few blocks away. You may be able to park at FBC's lot on the corner of Robinson & Park - check the sign.

The St. Pat's Party Contingency Plan will be to meet @ McCormack's Whisky Grill (205 N. Robinson) @ 6 PM.
Neither snow, nor sleet, will stop the Irish from celebrating St. Patrick!
I'll post an update tomorrow afternoon. May your heart be light and happy,
May your smile be big and wide,
And may your pockets always have
    a coin or two inside!

From Best places to recover from a hangover, Richmond.com. Hangover Level: Moderate

Degree of Functionality: Medium; can safely drive, walk without tripping, and speak in full sentences, but only with concentrated effort.

Sidewalk Cafe, 2101 West Main Street

Buddy’s Place, 325 North Robionson Street

Star-Lite Dining and Lounge, 2600 West Main Street

The Bellytimber Tavern, 1501 Main Street

    Joe’s Inn, 205 North Shield’s Avenue

These Fan spots offer all of the usual hangover necessities-copious amounts of fried foods, large breakfast entrees, and plentiful salty and greasy options (think burgers, chicken fingers, quesadillas, and packed deli sandwiches). Yet a word of caution. Anyone with a hangover level above moderate may be over-stimulated by the large, boisterous crowds, ever-present pitchers of mimosas, and general fun times atmosphere. The make-your-own Bloody Mary bar at Bellytimber Tavern is a treat for the moderately hungover, and a landmine for anyone past that point.

I think Monday's event will be nice, with many revelers worn out from the weekends events.

The easiest place to park would be in the paid lot accords from the Main St train station. Parking may be available nearby streets, 17th, Franklin, & Grace. I'm planning on taking the bus to the Bottom. I will not be driving this night!
