Uplifting In Every Sense Of The Word Set To The Backdrop Of The South Of France

The Grocer's Son (Le Fils de l'épicier)

French documentary-maker Eric Guirado has had a box-office hit in France with his first fiction feature: this likable and warm-hearted study of Antoine, a moody guy in Paris, who is forced to return to his parents' house in the country and help run the family grocery when his dad is felled by a heart attack. Antoine, played by newcomer Nicolas Cazalé, happens to have  brought along a "friend", the beautiful Claire, played by Clotilde Hesme, having assured her that the country will be the perfect place in which to revise for her forthcoming exams. Of course, he is shyly in love with Claire. This is a sweet and engaging little film,  as the story progresses, there is real charm.

This film evokes the passion for life .rediscovery and the beauty of love

A   movie with   humerous overtones, we will all want to emigrate to the south of france

, this film ignites  the beauty of nature and rediscovering nature as Antoine returns home to his village  after ten years in the city to mind his dad who has  had  a heart attack
