Birds of Prey photography workshop and private photoshoot with tamed and wild birds and a falconer will be held on Saturday 12 October 2013. This workshop is open to only 12 people to keep the group small. While I want to keep it unique. So 12 people get the chance to have a private workshop and photoshoot with Birds of Prey. That means without any audience.

In the workshop you learn all you need to know to get these fabulous shots you normally only see on National Geographics. And this with any DSLR camera and a good lens.

You not only learn to shoot birds in flight, but also get a chance to fully connect with the birds and get as close as you want. Next to that everyone gets the chance to do a Photoshoot in nature, so you can place the birds where ever you want.

And that's not all. This workshop is the 1st step towards Wildlife Photography. So once you register to this workshop you get a 50% discount on the following Wildlife Photography Adventure in a beautiful National Park in Germany (Where a lot of National Geographics pics are been taken daily).  Which is going to be sceduled shortly.Come and join us the "Birds of Prey" Photography workshop in the Veluwe, near Arnhem. Which I organized with a great Falconer from the Netherlands.

Have you ever wanted to capture the most gorgeous predator birds like owls, buzzards and the eagle in a private shoot? This is your chance!

Here is your chance to shoot Birds of prey up close and personal. And I mean really close. ( can you see me in the eye with a 100mm macro lens?)

I arranged a beautiful workshop so that you can get the images you always dreamed off. To keep you all from investing the costs needed to get a private shoot with these animals (€650), I invested the time and arranged the most amazing place in the Veluwe (€220) to open up this opportunity to fellow photographers and enthusiasts. A great opportunity for everyone who is into nature and wildlife.

In this workshop you’ll not only learn to shoot great images, you will also go home with images that are worth far more then the price of this workshop. How is that!

This workshop gives you the direct experience of shooting birds in flight and it even gives you the ability to capture the most amazing images with just any camera you have at hand. For this workshop it’s not needed to carry lenses bigger then 200mm, while you get full access to getting as close as you can get!

This already is a dream come true for many photographers.
But that’s not all!

I will keep the amount of people as low as possible (max 12) so there will be no one standing in your way. There will be no audience, it’s a private shoot just for us. During this workshop everyone is capable to get killer images of gorgeous birds of prey, and after the workshop you will be more then ready to capture any bird in the wild. Because you’ll be right on ready.

That’s why people that follow this workshop will get access to a real wildlife shoot: the Wildlife Photography Adventure in an untamed wilderness region in the Bavarian Forest National Park in Germany! A 50% discount will be eligible to the first 8 participants of the Birds of Prey workshop. So act quick!

I managed to lose a full SD card at the workshop, which included all my bird portraits (anyone seen it?). Oh the stories I could tell about other fun stuff like that that happens to me...

But at least I got a few decent shots on another card of birds in flight. They're on my (new and work in progress) website: http://206.130.123.151/~harrijah/portfolio/birds-of-prey/

HI Maurice, I hope you have a fantastic shoot on Saturday. I can see how much thought and preparation you have put into creating this very special experience for people. I know it will be a powerful experience for them. Wish I could be there. Boston is especially beautiful this time of year so I will be doing a shoot this weekend as well. Hope to see you soon, Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne, it was awesome. And people loved it, I am sure next time more people want to join, especially after seeing the resulting pictures.
I just re-read my meetup post that I wrote a while back, it's funny how I wrote 4x the same thing. :D To enthousiastic sometimes. ;)
Looking forward to meeting you next time.
      Have a wonderful weeekend

Wish I could join you, but i've been waiting all year for the Boekelo horse trials, which is also on Saturday, and as much as i'd love to shoot birds (and i really would) I'm afraid the horse event has come out on top. Hope you all have a wonderful day though.

I saw that the registration page on my site doesn't work anymore. There is something with the plugin in new wordpress. I am working on it, and once it works again I will let you know.

This sounds amazing. One of my favorite photos I ever took was of a falcon and the handler, and I've always wanted to take more pictures of these beautiful beasts!

I do not have a DSLR camera with a good lens, just your basic Nikon coopix S8200. However I would like to learn to use a DSLR camera before investing in one, and how to make better use of the camera I have. Is this workshop to much of a reach for me? I am coming from Utrecht, so easy for me to go...

Maurice, this looks amazing, and is about 15 minutes from where I live! How long is the event?

The place is near Arnhem. And very easy to get there by train from A'dam.
    By public transport

From train station Arnhem busline 43 direction Apeldoorn drives via de Steeg. From the railway station Dieren bus 43 rides by de Steeg via Arnhem Lane.

In DE STEEG on Main Street off at bus stop Brantsenpark. Go to Parkweg and cross the railway. After about 50 meters on the left side of the road you find the driveway of Rhederoord. Just get in and walk till the parkinglot on the left side, there you see us.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
