Shhhh! Don't tell anyone! RawDaddy's Doing a Demo!

He rarely does them, and who knows? This might be his last.

Those of you who have tried his cones knows that Raw Daddy is a master of raw food flavors, spices, and textures, and I honestly can’t wait ‘til he shows us what he does with a main dish. Raw Daddy will show us how to make a lasagna and his famous haystacks, my favorite raw chocolates. And RAW DADDY promises to give us all he knows from soup to nuts. You will learn everything from making rejuvelac to pesto!
He is hoping to bring a gluten expert, Alix, Mayer, who was instrumental in getting his food to be Gluten free and Alix can answer any questions you have about gluten.

And Raw Daddy is very entertaining so it promises to be a lot of fun learning about it.

If you haven’t tried his food- you have got to hear some of the buzz about it:

“Raw Daddy’s food combinations make me feel like I’ve left earth completely and wound up in a REAL raw food heaven.”

He makes converts to raw food of people who only want delicious vegan food.
One writer from Portland visiting the area tried the Reuben cone and said, "It was every bit as filled with amazing delicious gourmet ingredients as the Mushroom cone. It was one of the best vegan reubens I’ve ever had, and I could eat it while walking without making a sauerkrauty mess of myself!”

This is the meal you can make for friends and family and with confidence introduce them to raw food.

You do not want miss this very special event.

The demo/talk will be $22  and $17 for those who have purchased meetup memberships* (see below for details)

So get on board for this one! Raw Daddy rarely does demos, and who knows? This really might be his last.

Also, if you want to pre order to-go cones, Raw Daddy will bring them already packaged. They are $5 per cone.

Thai, mushroom and polenta, Italian, Ruben, and sushi can be preordered Togo.

Here are some of the cones available for preorder:

Spicy Thai Salad Cone
Filled with a mélange of fresh crispy cabbage, mangoes, and herbs. Tossed with our creamy dressing and our sprouted and dried, seasoned cashews. Topped with RawDaddy's tangy tamarind sauce. $5

Forest and Earth Mushroom Polenta Cone
Filled with layers of our freshly made corn polenta and a rich composition of portabella, oyster, and brown mushrooms, raw-simmered in our white truffle oil and smoked sea salt marinade. Drizzled with a counterpoint of our zesty mustard vinaigrette.

Wakame Daddy Sushi Cone
Filled with a freshly tossed mixture of delicate wakame, daikon radish, cucumbers, traditionally pickled ginger, and our riced and sweetly seasoned parsnips. Topped with RawDaddy's creamy wasabi dressing.

Raw Daddy’s Philosophy
The act of preparing vegetables is an especially life giving exercise, primarily because it leads to serving and eating foods that are good for you. But we don't think of vegetable cuisine, vegetarian, vegan, raw food, in terms of health food, alternative food, or spa food. As a result, we do not create vegetable dishes based on nutritional values. We believe that such things fall into place naturally.

If one pursues flavor first and foremost, and works with extraordinarily fresh seasonal foodstuffs, organic whenever possible, then one is surely going to eat healthfully. We prefer to get good health as a byproduct of eating wonderful, tasty, sensual foods, which nourish the soul and spirit as well as the body.

Whooooo! That was great! Just the inspiration I needed to improve my raw dishes. It's the details that RawDaddy shared that turn ordinary raw dishes into gourmet raw dishes. I'm making a simple version of the lasagna this weekend. One thing I forgot to ask about was the Chocolate Mouse recipe. My second favorite after the Haystacks. Thank you so much for hosting this Meetup. It was great!

Raw Daddy's excellent creations were "dialed-in" and off the hook! I really enjoyed the great food, met some very nice and interesting people, and learned a lot - what more could you ask for?

RawDaddy ROCKS! It's very hard to find a truly great chef who has learned all of the conventional methods and then converts to raw, and is a natural artist as well. He combines both of these qualities, plus some! His artistic rendition of a raw "Lasagna" did not truly resemble what I call "Lasagna" in a traditional sense, but given the choice between the two I'd take his creation ANY TIME. It was AWESOME!
The Haystacks were to die for but, since they have a large fat content, will only be used for special occasions. If I were to create a full recipe of 20-24 I'd put on a few pounds, because they wouldn't last very long :-). They are incredibly simple to make and his suggestions for using the correct type of coconut was great.
Thanks so much for a superb evening and the generosity with both the food and the recipes!!

What can I say about this meetup? Have you attended a five star gourmet meal with a great group of people with the chef sharing with you all his tips? If you weren’t there you really missed out! Raw Daddy gives us more than recipes- but he shared lots of those, including one of his coveted cone recipes (Sh!!). He gave us simple, creative, and gourmet ideas and meals in generous helpings. Of course I knew he would. Someone said, “We want him back! Now!” and so do I. He shared many of his secrets for basic mouthwatering meals- and a way to have rejuvelac that I will actually do. It’s surprising how many uses it has. Need I go on? If you missed it- there is a video! Here's the link on You Tube http://youtu.be/VVlcjSSr-e8

This is exactly why a meet up is so great. Darcy brought an accomplished Chef for an inside peek into the world of Gourmet raw. Raw Daddy was generous, entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable. He was clear, kind and inspiring. It was great to meet new people and eat delicious food. Thank you!
