Our next meetup is Dessert with Sergey. Sergey is a dessert chef who has worked for Café Gratitude and he is going to show us how to make a Goji Berry Chocolate cheesecake and nut/seed pate. Cheese cake was the popular favorite among people who love Café Gratitude desserts, and I can vouch for Sergey’s cheesecake- it’s one you’ll want to serve to people who haven’t yet tried raw foods. The nut/seed pate can be used in sushi and in stuffed bell peppers and he has yet to decide on what kind he'll teach us. The class will be taught at my residence and I’ll send people who RSVP the exact address (It's about 12 min up 80 from Berkeley). The fee is $10- some to defray the cost of the meetup - the rest goes to the ingredients. It’s okay to pay when you get there- but Pay Pal through the site is also available (Pay Pal- $10.50). Hope to see many of you there.
About this meetup:
I’ve been on a raw food diet for a few years now. With the exception of last summer where I was on raw foods pretty much exclusively- my diet tends to be 80%-90 raw.
I know that there are those who want to embark on this diet, and those who have been doing it for awhile who can benefit from getting together once in a while for some practical reasons: lending support, sharing experience, recipes, and here’s the thing that motivated me to do this – creating a co-op to buy in enough bulk to reduce the cost of a raw food diet. If we get together we can reduce the cost- and help make a raw food lifestyle a viable choic
