Hello friends,

I will be offering a class on fermented veggies this Thursday.  There are special things about this class: It is a brand new class!  I have new material and it is a low cost class - only $20.   It is in the brand new, beautiful wellness center that is equipped with overhead video.  And, Whole Foods is having their soiree that evening so you can join the party.  I have reserved holiday goodie bags for attendees of the class.

Introduction to Cultured Vegetables
this Thursday, December 8 from 7 - 8 pm at Whole Foods in Oakland

Fermented foods can boost your immune system, aid your digestion and increase your vitality.  SO important during the holiday season!  They are surprisingly simple to make and a great staple if you are on a budget.  Plus, they make a beautiful gift to share with others.  I will show you how!

In this class you learn the basics of fermenting all kinds of vegetables.  You will find out how easy it is to turn a head of cabbage into delicious sauerkraut.  And, you will learn to transform carrots and green brands into holiday crowd pleasers and after-work/after-school snacks.

The Holiday Party at Whole Foods will be running after the class.  They will have 15 local vendors, holiday food sampling, live food demonstrations AND holiday performances from the Oakland Symphony Chorus and the Oakland Ballet.  There will even be a dry holiday drink bar.  (I really enjoyed that last year)
