I am excited to introduce a very special and rare event. On April 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Finnish Hall in Berkeley (1970 Chestnut St) we will be hosting Cherie Soria and her husband Dan Ldermann. Cherie Soria is indeed a chef extraordinaire. She is founder and director of the Living Light Institute, where many of our greatest chefs have learned how to prepare the delicious raw food we are building a life around. Heather Haxo Phillips, our sponsor and great teacher, and Jennifer Cornbleet, who we were just blessed to have teach us some of her many delicious recipes, both graduated from the institute. We will get to experience their mentor as she draws from her expertise and shows us how to blend flavors and a recipe or two from her new book, Rawfood for Dummies. Of course she is teaching us Smart and Busy people who need a simple
approach to incorporating more raw food into our lives.

Plus RawDaddy will be there with his wonderful gourmet cones. For this event I'm sure he'll have an array of his best, from the Reuben which has become Berkeley Farmer's market favorite, to Sushi, one of my favorites, to Thai and Forest mushroom and polenta. He also has delicious dessert cones such as Pilgrim's cream, Carrot cake, Lemon cheese cake, and Chocolate. Every bite is a taste of rawfood heaven. I'll update the meetup with his choices for this event.
Duration: About 1 ½ to 2 hours, 1 hour talk followed by a culinary demo and book signing.
Time: We will start at 6:30 p.m. and RawDaddy will serve his cones. Cherie and Dan will begin their presentation at 7:15 p.m.
Fees: $15 per person. As usual, the venue fee of $5 will be waived for all of you who have purchased Meetup Memberships. For $25 you get the venue fee (ranging from $5-$10) waived for every meetup and a thankyou gift in the form of your choice of a Hippocrates Raw Vegan series permachart. Raw food revolutionary, Cherie Soria, is the founder and director of Living Light Culinary Institute, and has been teaching the art of gourmet raw foods to individuals, chefs, and instructors for more than 20 years and vegetarian culinary arts for 40 years. Dan Ladermann Bio
Dan Ladermann was a pioneer in the internet revolution in the late 70’s and has been pioneering the raw food revolution and its impact on health for the past 15 years. He is coauthor Raw Food for Dummies and co-director of Living Light International along with his wife Cherie Soria. Dan is also president of the Institute for Vibrant Living, a non-profit organization dedicated to global education about raw organic plant-strong foods and their role in health and vitality and a certified Hippocrates Health Educator.
