The idea of starting this group came from seeing my nutrition clients struggling to break socialising habits which revolved around pubs. Where there is of course a place for socialising in pubs (I'm not a complete bore), the ideal scenario for getting healthy and enjoying it with friends is to take your socialising elsewhere. Whether that is a walk, a bike ride and a picnic or an hour of Zumba followed by lunch, it helps to have a group of friends to encourage each other.
This group is for people who want to get fit, meet other like minded people, anyone new to town or wanting to make new connections. It started off with a Zumba slant to it as I am committed to teaching 3 classes each week so they can make a good opportunity to meet up regularly, however I'd like to make it more open to everyone. I have now added a few HIIT classes to the schedule too.
Anyone is able to post on the board so please make the most of it. If you have the urge to go for a long walk but want to make sure it actually happens, open it up to others so that you are committed!
