The West London Filmmakers Group (aka The Eidolon Collective) has undergoing some major changes.
We see a different way forward.
Our strategy is to create a meritocracy of creative talent and ideas. Our productions will be made using crowd-funding, sponsorship and group contributions, and the financial benefits will be shared by all those who contribute their time, talent, ideas and/or resources.
We are currently recruiting new members: people who share our passion for film; people who don't just talk about making films but are actually prepared and willing to get up and do it; reliable people in search of excellence.
The group is currently structured and operates along the lines of club membership, with a Chairman, Business Development Director and Treasurer (all voted in).
Modest fees (£100 per quarter) are a requirement of membership and how they are allocated is decided by vote. Any finance that is accrued through the marketing activities of the Group's moving image productions is reinvested back into the Group.
What you will get for your involvement in this group are skills, experience and an opportunity to learn practical film making techniques. You will also be exposed to the business side of the film industry which is where a lot of independent film makers fall short to their detriment. You will be joining a team who produce real things, a team of reliable, passionate people who have already heavily invested in this industry to be part of something big. If you want to be part of the next revolution, this is it.
We have the gear. We have the will to develop the projects internally. Our goal is to create a team of doers, quick learners, people who can take the world on and, collectively, create something that everybody wants to be a part of.
If you have passion for film making and/or have studied in this area with hands on experience then we want you to apply.
