What about hiking Bill Couch Mountain in Deer Creek Canyon Park

Used to be called the Golden Eagle Overlook. About 7.5 mi and 1400' elevation. It's a loop trail. Supposed to have good views of the front range

Ladies, I hate to do this but I think we need to cancel this hike. Although the sun is out right now, I've had numerous showers pass through this area (close to where we are supposed to hike). Hourly weather forecast shows 60% chance of thunderstorms starting at 1:30. Given that we have about 7 miles and 1400'
elevation I think it is too risky. Discretion is the better part of valor

Please confirm via a post that you received this message so I don't worry about you being out there.

    Thanks!

Ok. Great! Id probably need XL. I haven't done much hiking in the rain (just spits) so I don't know what others bring or use. Thank you!

I'm still planning to hike at this time. If it is pouring and lightening obviously we will cancel for safety reasons. I live close to the hike and although it is cloudy it is not raining. I will give an hour notice if we need to cancel. What size would you need? I do have an extra rain jacket. What other rain gear are you looking for?

Just wondering? Are we still hiking with all this rain? If yes, does anyone have extra rain gear?

ok. I plan to bring both dogs. They are both friendly. I will stay in the back in case anyone is frightened of dogs. I always bring bags for them. No worries>

As I said I have no problems with dogs on the hike. If you are going to bring your dog, please make sure your dog is socialized so we don't have a pack mentality erupt. I know dogs are popular and I love them, but I think we'll need to limit the number of dogs depending on how many people come so please mention if you are bringing your dog or not

Do you know if leashed dogs are allowed on this trail?

I have no problems with dogs on the hike. I do believe in pack it in pack it out, so bring a baggie or something for any potential doggie "land mines" : )
