The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith

The Cuckoo's Calling is a 2013 crime fiction novel by J. K. Rowling, published under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

After losing his leg to a land mine in Afghanistan, Cormoran Strike is barely scraping by as a private investigator. Strike is down to one client, and creditors are calling. He has also just broken up with his longtime girlfriend and is living in his office.

Then John Bristow walks through his door with an amazing story: His sister, thelegendary supermodel Lula Landry, known to her friends as the Cuckoo, famously fell to her death a few months earlier. The police ruled it a suicide, but John refuses to believe that. The case plunges Strike into the world of multimillionaire beauties, rock-star boyfriends, and desperate designers, and it introduces him to every variety of pleasure, enticement, seduction, and delusion known to man.

You may think you know detectives, but you've never met one quite like Strike. You may think you know about the wealthy and famous, but you've never seen them under an investigation like this.

I haven't even begun to read as this was my first notice (or at least that I noticed) so I will probably wait until next month. When does the notification come out with the next book selection? I love reading so I look forward to being a part of the group.

Our books are chosen 2 months out and our future meetups are listed on the home page. Our next meetup is The Blood Gospel on June 17th. I generally close the poll the day prior to our meetup. For example, I will close the July poll this Monday, May 19th, and post the book winner. I also send out an announcement that you will receive as long as you are subscribed to organizer messages. If you have any questions about how to navigate our website, please let me know and I can give you more detailed information. We look forward to seeing you at the next meetup!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
