With a new year, comes new legislation. In fact in 2013, California has hundreds of new laws taking effect. I highly suggest familiarizing yourself with these new statutes. One law specifically relevant, SB 900, promulgates California's Homeowners Bill of Rights and adopts similar provisions achieved during the recent National Mortagage Settlement. From a dual track foreclosure ban to a single point of contact, there are several components to the new mortagage and foreclosure law.
