I may not make it as I am very jet-lagged after a 35-hour journey back from Bangkok. Will see how I feel in the morning.

The 1988 French film "Chocolat" by Claire Denis is showing at Cinematheque, 821 University Ave in Vilas Hall at 7pm on 03/15/14 and is FREE! Denis’ semi-autobiographical debut feature explores themes of racism and colonialism. A young woman named France returns to her West African homeland of Cameroon to confront the haunting memories of life in a brutally segregated society. There, she remembers her childhood friendship with her family’s servant.
