rick, too late for me to go out and get chestnuts. i put my back out, so going slow. but unless it gets worse, hope to come with roasted potatoes and some kind of mushroom/stuffing dish. am leaving the tofurkey home for my kid, since you want only organic and mine is not. will heat just before i come there, but might need a boost from your oven. will see... thanks, xoxo.

i was planning to go tomorrow to trader joe's and get some of the tofurkey they claim that they have. i have not cooked one for quite some time. will know tomorrow, but am flexible. if you prefer to get the tofurkey can just keep it for home. was also going to get some other side dish, but not sure yet. i do think it would help if we brought different things. i'm no great vegan cook but can do something with green beens and almonds or stuffed mushrooms as well. not sure of a good vegan gravy for the tofurkey? it would be nice to do something with chestnuts. i usually boil first, knotch them and then put in oven/roast before eating. can we do that there radha and rick? i can boil at home if it helps...

Janie -- As far as I'm concerned you can roast the chestnuts in our oven, since neither Radha or I plan to use the oven.

Come any time ~ most of the food will have been eaten, but the leftovers can be yours. I assume most of us will be chatting way past 7:30.

    Hi,
Happy No Turkey Day. You can plan together through this posting site, or just show up on Friday with Whatever!
(Organic/non-GMO vegan and preferably tasting pretty good.)
I've always held to the notion that a pot luck is a.....pot luck.
So come with a smile and a something to share.
Our small kitchen welcomes you if you need to finish cooking your dish at our house, but we only have 4 burners and one oven, so hopefully most of you will bring food all ready to serve.
I'm planning to steam lots of veggies, so I hope there will be gravies coming to pour on top.
Don't worry ~ it always has worked out well, whatever you do.
Rick and I are friendly, and we'll try to accommodate your needs.
See you on Friday ~~~ Radha

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
