I will be hosting a game day at my place on Saturday, March 30th, to commemorate International Tabletop Day. Basically the idea is to for people all over the world to host gaming events on the same day, and share the experience online.
Heck, watch this Felicia Day video, she explains it much better than I can:
Watch Felicia Day announcing International #TableTopDay on YouTube.
And if you''ve never seen it before, be sure to check out Wil Wheaton's web show at tabletop.geekandsundry.com, where he and his friends play and review their favorite games, and generally have a lot of fun, Also check out all of the other general awesomeness at geekandsundry.com.
I went on a little shopping trip to Gator Games, and I have larger selection of games now than when I first added the meetup, many of them featured on tabletop: Munchkin, Elder Sign, Ticket To Ride, Castle Panic, Wiz War, Red Shirts, Zombie Dice, a few others. You are of course welcome to bring your own favorite games to play, as well!
I will also have the usual snacks and junk food. Feel free to bring more, but please don't feel obligated to bring anything but yourselves.
Tabletop is going to be live streaming games with Wil and Felicia and friends all day, and I hope to have the live stream playing in the background so we can share the fun,
IMPORTANT: I will be taking pictures to post at http://www.tabletopday.com/, and I may even attempt to get a live stream of our event set up, so if you don't want your image out there, please consider skipping this event and waiting for the next game day. There will be more coming, I promise.
Directions and Parking:
860 Meridian Bay Lane, Unit 341
Foster City, CA, 94404
Callbox code '070'
This is what you are looking for: picture/map
Meridian Bay Lane is the driveway for the Meridian Bay Condo complex where I live. It's off Hillsdale Blvd, just West of the Hillsdale/Edgewater intersection. It's on the North side of Hillsdale, near a Bank of America and an Am/Pm.
If you are coming East on Hillsdale Blvd from 101 North or 101 South, make a U-turn at Edgewater. Meridian Bay Lane will be immediately on your right.
If you are coming South on Edgewater from the 92, make a right on Hillsdale Blvd. Meridian Bay will also be immediately on your right.
There is plenty of open visitor parking under the 860 building (the one on your left with the big white ‘860’ on it).
Once you park under the building, there is a silver callbox on the left-hand side. The code is 070, or if you forget the code you can look up EBERT in the callbox directory. Enter the code and it will ring me and I'll buzz you in.
Once I buzz you in, DO NOT take elevator #5 immediately on your left. Take elevator #7, which is further away on your right, to the third floor. Turn left out of the elevator and my door will be straight ahead, #341.
WARNING: Some map/GPS software seems to want to put people on Sea Spray Lane (behind the complex) instead of Meridian Bay Lane. If you find yourself on Sea Spray Lane, Don't Panic! Proceed East on Sea Spray Lane toward Edgewater, turn right on Edgewater, right again on Hillsdale, and Meridian Bay Lane will be immediately on your right.
