Happy New Year! (Noah and Stacy style)

We thought it would be nice to greet the new year with friends (old and new). This is no wild party--we'll have kids sleeping in another room. :) We're thinking maybe some people will want to play games in the kitchen and some might want to watch science fiction or bad movies in the family room. That kind of thing. A potluck snacky thing would be fun, but don't stress about it. We'll have our usual stuff. No drinking to excess though--we want everyone to stay in control and be safe driving home. :) So long 2012! Howdy-do 2013!

Our house has wisteria over the garage and brick stairs leading up to the door. I'll put some kind of sign on our mailbox. See you soon!

At the start one could either play a boardgame or make fun of a zombie movie, next we played a movie trivia game, (I scored some points for my team) and watched a rebroadcast of the party at Times Square in New York City. I left while others decided to watch another old and bad movie. There was a potluck of food and drinks

We are also still coming, and barring any kitchen disasters, we will be bringing trifle.

I'm still attending. I have a healthy immune system, so I'm not the least bit bothered by sniffles and congestion. Will see you tonight=)

I have some sparkling fruit juice I'll bring along too for anyone who wants a non-alcoholic toast. See you all soon!

Hi guys, is champagne to toast for the New Year ok? If it considered excessive, I won't bring

We were thinking the same thing, Pedro, and should have thought to post it. My sister-in-law said that the thingy Noah mentioned was pretty cheap and pretty tasty. Can't personally vouch for it though. What do you think?

We definitely support champagne toasts. We were going to buy some prosecco (sp?) from Trader Joes. We wouldn't be offended if you brought more. :)

I plan to bring some appetizers. I'm trying out some new and interesting recipes, so nothing set in stone. Will probably be the following 2 items: tomato/mozzarella tartlets & caramelized onions/goat cheese mini pizzas.

Hi, guys! Shall we be organized about food/drink contributions? Post what you are bringing, if anything? Which, don't feel bad if you can't/don't have the bandwidth for a contribution. We'll have our usual frozen food--mini tacos, gorgonzola poppers, etc. And some fruit.
