"Night and Day" Double Feature

Join me at my cozy (small) place as we enjoy some movies that revolve around (pun intended) the two celestial bodies that are most prominent from our pale blue dot: "Sunshine" and "Moon".

(I like both of these movies, but if you haven't seen them yet I should probably make sure you know that neither of them is what you'd consider an action-packed sci-fi blockbuster)

RSVPs don't open until 8pm Wed, 3/6. You'll still have to compete with everybody else to get a spot, but I think the people who don't have their email clients open the second the event is created and announced will have a fairer shot at snagging a place.

I have furniture for seven people and as host don't mind being a floor-sitter myself, but will need more floor-sitting volunteers to see if this hosting limit is reasonable or not.

It's up to you whether or not you eat before the Meetup. You're more than welcome to bring your meal and/or snacks with you, and I'll have some snacks and drinks to share. If you're bringing snacks or a communal entree, please let me/us know in the comments.

The apartment complex is controlled-access with virtually no guest parking, but there's a small shopping center (West Park Plaza) right across the street with ample parking- as long as you mix it in with the other customers' cars you should be fine for a few hours. You can always try for street parking in the residential area on the east side of Winchester.

Since I don't have a local phone number you can't be buzzed in from the front gate, so don't go to the main entrance with the red awning which leads to the lobby/gated pool. Instead head a little bit to the south where you'll see a small parking lot with a black iron gate. My apartment is fairly close to that gate, so it's much easier for me to come down to let you in if you call from there. IMG

The day before the event I will send my address and phone number to the members who RSVP'd. Even if you've been here before I'll still email you, because it's easier to use Meetup's "email everybody who has RSVP'd "yes" for this event" feature.

Auto RSVP's end at 10pm the day before the event. If you're going to drop out please do it prior to that time so that someone on the waiting list can take your place. If you're at the top of the wait list and you see a space open up after this point, send me an email to let me know you're available for a last-minute add and I will get back to you ASAP.

Not sure what I'll be doing that day. If attendance doesn't improve, maybe reschedule? I'd definitely love to see these films! :)

Moon is really awesome, definitely worth watching for those who haven't seen it.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
