"You’re no hero.
You’re an adventurer: a reaver, a cutpurse, a heathen-slayer, a tight-lipped warlock guarding long-dead secrets. You seek gold and glory, winning it with sword and spell, caked in the blood and filth of the weak, the dark, the demons, and the vanquished. There are treasures to be won deep underneath, and you shall have them". . . .
But before all that you're, a butcher, baker maybe even a candlestick maker. In DCC you start off as a 0 level commoner on the road to glory! I'll be running a game of it and each player will have four pre-generated characters or we can roll some up (it only takes about 10-15 minutes). Four characters per player my seem a lot but at 0 level there's not as many rules to follow and insures that you have characters that make it through the meat-grinder . . .ah I mean adventure.
Those that survive the adventure will become 1st level Character Classes for games in the future.
If you've never played an RPG and would like to try it out, Dungeon Crawl Classics is a great intro "beer & pretzels" game. For those of you who are veterans, DCC is a bunch of old school fun. Hope to see you there!
*Just added a 2nd table! Daniel Salcido will also be running a game of DCC!
