Hometown: El Paso, TX
December 30, 2011
I work as a mad scientist by day, play the fan-boy card at night.
I work as a chemist/postdoctoral researcher at UPenn. I'm originally from El Paso, TX and moved to the Philadelphia area almost 5 years ago to pursue higher learning. Work has kept me busy from meeting people outside of the laboratory. I'm married, but the wife and I have a hard time connecting with people. We're not club goers or bar flies, we just watch movies (and the occasional tv show on dvd) and game. I have enjoyed the east coast so far, so many collectors, so much easier to find old toys.
My hobbies include toy collecting (stuff from 80's to present), movies (both foreign and domestic), video games (from atari to ps3, i dont have colecovision (yet)) and antiques that catch my eyes. I have a huge interest in tokusatsu, anime and manga. I'm into comics, science fiction, detective fiction, mechanics, model building, costume and craft making. I have a moderate collection of cartoons that i enjoy to watch from time to time.

The group overall is pleasant and look forward to meeting with them at future event.
My husband now wants to postpone his Halo MegaBloks collection idea for LEGO Lord of the Rings. Haha...my idea? Whatever keeps him quiet. LOL
Hi there Ismael, welcome to the group! I'm a deep south transplant myself (Atlanta, GA) and moved up here for work as well. Along the way I managed to find my partner in crime (and now husband) Mike. You know, the two of us like to collect things too (mostly old war things and cameras) but I got to say I like the interest in toy collection. Mike and I are lovers of Legos, Mega Bloks, things of the like. I hope to meet you in one of our meetups! You sound like a blast!
