Dinner at Bogey Macaws and then snowtubing at Avalanche Express!

It seems to be the general consensus in this area that Avalanche Express has the best snow tubing around!  On Friday nights, they have a discounted night pass of $18 for unlimited tubing between 9pm and 11pm.  I figure we could get together for dinner beforehand so people can get to know each - it's probably a little tough to talk to people when you're zipping down the slope in a big innertube :)  Bogey Macaws is right down the road from Avalanche Express (which is at Heritage Hills Resort).  If we meet at Bogey Macaws at 7pm, we should have plenty of time to eat and get over to Avalanche Express by 9pm.  We tried to go last year but the weather refused to cooperate.  Hopefully it does this time around!  Below is the website for Avalanche Express for anybody looking for additional information - also at the bottom of the website home page, there is a Release Form that everyone is required to sign.  If you download, sign it and bring it with you to the event we can get through the line a lot quicker.  I would recommend doing that so we can maximize our $18!

If we get rained out I thought this would be a fun alternative. http://www.rollrway.net/

I hope it doesn't rain as this is going to be a fun weekend activity. Oh, boy!

ok the weather looks a little iffy for tonight - there is a chance of snow, but the hourly weather during our tubing time looks like it will be too warm for it to be anything but rain. My suggestion is that we still get together for dinner and then we can make a game-time decision (we can also check the Avalanche Express website to see tubing conditions). I'll bring a couple of back up plan ideas just in case the weather doesn't cooperate (hopefully not!). If this affects your plans to attend, please change your RSVP. The reservation at Bogey's is under the name Erica - ask at the hostess stand to find the group. If you have any trouble finding us my cell phone is 703.244.8149. see you tonight!

never been there before... once did snowtubing where you had the choice of walking up the hill or riding a tube & be pulled up the hill. Same thing? I can't make dinner, but maybe the snowtubing.
