I wouldn't mind going to the range to sight in and practice with my pistol and rifle. Unfortunately I don't have a range I am a member at. Anyone belong to the Middletown Hunter's and Angler's Club that would sponsor me? Would enjoy finding other people that would enjoy going out to practice with together.

    May 17, 2013

    • Andriana

Certain ranges don't required membership. I know of a few but none close to you

      May 17, 2013

    • Troy

Mark, there are multiple small clubs in the area that have ranges and memeberships are reasonable i.e. 25$ a year. State ranges require a current PA hunting licenses or Shooting permit.

Troy, thanks for organizing this again. Would there be a chance of doing a similar event at a pistol or rifle range?

    May 16, 2013

    • Troy

Joan, what are you looking for in a pistol event just a range session or basic instruction?

      May 17, 2013

    • Joan P.

Probably at least enough instruction to do a range session? Kind of like what you've done here with the clays.

      May 17, 2013

  • Troy

I will be contacting Central Penn Monday May 20 to confirm the amount of coaches and shotguns required. Please keep your RSVP updated.

Option 1 for me. My only firearms experience was the last meetup.

    Option 1 for me.

I've shot a shotgun before but it's been about 10 years ago. But I've also have shot a handgun about 2 years ago. Not sure if I should go for option 1 or 2. Any advice would be appreciated.

    May 13, 2013

    • Troy

Tracy, mostly depends on your comfort level handling firearms. I would suggest option 1 since it has been several years.

    • Tracy

      Okay. Thanks Troy.

I have never done anything like this before, do I have to have any type of experience? I probably would not be a good shot, but it really sounds like fun. Is this something you need to have any type of experience/training?

    May 11, 2013

    • Troy

Beverly, you can join in on option 1. The same event has two options. #1 for those iwth little to no experience.

      May 11, 2013

    • Troy

Option # 2 is for those that have experience with handling a firearm safely.
