The Harrisburg Historic Association has a Candlelight House tour every year to kick off the holiday lighting season and highlight a specific historic neighborhood in Harrisburg. This 40th anniversary tour highlights Harrisburg’s Historic Midtown District and boasts 17 properties including Pennsylvania’s Governor’s Residence, Midtown’s historic Boas Street United Methodist Church, and a Mediterranean style property designed by Harrisburg renowned architect Charles Howard Lloyd. My thought is that we all meet for lunch across the river at Duke's in Wormleysburg and then carpool over to Harrisburg from there so we can minimize the amount of parking we need to find in Harrisburg around the tour. We will be buying tickets individually, they are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The link to purchase tickets is below, as well as taking you to a page to get more information. The tour goes from 1pm-6pm, though I don't think we need to be there the whole time - I believe that's just when the houses will be open for viewing.
I will find our additional information about where the tour starts and post that for anyone who can't make it to lunch. If you are attending just for the tour and not for lunch, please comment on the board when you RSVP.
