Are you interested in running but don't want to go running on your own? Then this group is for you!
Our group has been created to give runners from in and around the Southside of Glasgow a strong, non pressure training group who will be there to support your training as and when you need us.
* Membership is entirely free. * This group is equally welcoming and respectful of ALL runners, regardless of how fast, slow, fit or unfit you happen to be.
* You are free to be as competitive or non-competitive as you want.
And why Glasgow South? Well, the Southside of Glasgow happens to be blessed with some fantastic parks and running routes. We've got the Bellahouston Park, Queens Park, Rouken Glen and of course the mighty Pollok Estate which is the largest inner city green belt in Europe!
If you are in a running club then you're welcome to come along too. Age doesn't matter.
We don't want to coach you. In fact we have no coaches whatsoever. We don't want to force anyone to race. We simply want to run our way into fitness and have a few laughs on the way. We welcome runners of ALL abilities and we're ready to train with you now!
QUICK DISCLAIMER: Sometimes we run for a long time (up to an hour). If you join us on a long run and you can't keep up then the group probably won't wait for you. So, you are running at your own risk. If that worries you then just ask and we'll let you know when a more suitable training session comes along.
