Small Group !

For decades Adobe Photoshop has been setting the industry standards and is an enormously powerful and helpful tool for image makers everywhere. As each edition has brought new controls and functions, it has also become somewhat daunting to learn how to use the program. This is especially true if you're just coming into Photoshop with version CS6.

In this event you will be introduced to the Photoshop world. In a small group (only 6 attendees) and 101 personalized training. The basic and more important aspects of mastering this tool will be presented.

We will be stressing topics like:

  • 1- Interface,
  • 2- Layers, Blend modes,
  • 3- Resolution and Image size,
  • 4- Saving and File formats,
  • 5- Adjusting Brightness,
  • 6- Adjusting Color

You can bring your laptop and work your own images while the instruction takes place and communicate your difficulties. The files used during the class will be provided as well, if you want to work in the same files used by the instructor. All questions related to the above topics will be addressed.

The training will be provide by Alfredo Tisi who has many years of experience in the field. Having worked at top photolabs in the LA region as a printer and retoucher, today Alfredo manages his own Photo and Printing Studio in Glendale ( ). Check bio: .

Because it's a small group, participants are required to pay at RSVP. You will receive a email with Paypal invoice. You don't need a Paypal account to pay, just follow the instructions with attention.

Really good intro to PS, especially for a complete PS novice. Now I have the confidence and basic knowledge to navigate PS by myself.

I'm looking into investing in Lightroom, any chance u would do a meetup on Lightroom basics?

    • Alfredo T.

Hi Antonio, Thanks for asking. Personally I'm not a fan of LR. You will need Photoshop anyway and you have Bridge and ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) for free in PS and they do the same as LR. Because of this I never invested time to learn a new app (LR) if I have all in PS.

Hi Alfredo. I have photoshop elements 11. Is that compatable to software from which you'll be teaching?

    March 3, 2013

    • Alfredo T.

Hi Myrna, sorry for the delay in answering your question. Photoshop CS6 is a completely different environment when compared to Elements 11. CS6 is a more professional way to develop your photos and is non destructive. This means that you can always go back to your original file. If you take seriously you photography you should consider changing to Photoshop. You can download for a 30 days trial for free at the Adobe website. Hope see you at the class!

I don't own a laptop. Is it required that I bring one?

    March 1, 2013

    • Alfredo T.

Hi Davidia, you are not required to bring a laptop. I will have a big screen where I will show all the steps of the lessons. The laptop is a tool that the students can practice and check their learning and clear doubts, but it's not indispensable. Hope to see you there!
