Greetings And Happy New Year!! I hope you and your aussie are having a Blessed new year!! My Name is Julie and My Aussie is Hallie. She is a Red Merle. 4 years old. We had attended afew of the meetups in the last 2 years. I got Hallie when she was about 8 weeks old and I got her to be a therapy dog. That is a dog that goes to visit people around the community etc. I have been training her for this role for the last 4 years and I think she's about ready. As getting Hallie I had no clue about Aussies or should I say Hallie has been my first Aussie. Let me tell you it's been quite the experience I have had with her and I love her so much! She is my best friend and with that I know Aussies require alot of exercise. As my Hallie has been attacked from 2 dogs before she is rather shy and nervous apon meeting new dogs. I had not been able to attend meetings this last year due to the fact of distance as I lived in San marcos Texas and most of the meetups were in North austin. And the fact Hallie and I had to move. We are all moved now we now live in Taylor,Tx. As I have worked with my Hallie to rehab her back into socializing raound other dogs and people etc A group like this would be great for her and me both. As I am living in a town that I hardly know anybody and a chance for Hallie to make some new friends. I couldn't let this group die. I hope you will continue to support this cause and group as I know how important it is to keep our dogs exercised and socialized and and be a happy member to our communities! If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to contact me. Iwanttogetinvolved@!yahoo.com please put Aussie Meetup group in subject line so I know who you are :) I posted a poll of suggested places I wanted to start off with to see if any of those places you would be interested meeting at. Looking forward to our meet ups and new year with you and your aussie!
