The Great Australian Shepherd Texas Roundup Message Board › Aussie Mix puppies available for adoption!!
This sweet Aussie puppy and his siblings were left in a box outside of a Central Texas Shelter in mid-March. The moment we saw them, knew they needed out of the shelter in order to stay healthy, the ADR volunteers kicked things in gear and got them out that same day!
Though a sad thing to be left in a box, it is evident that whoever did have them cared for them and gave them a lot of attention. Most puppies we rescue from a shelter are a little afraid of people at first because they had been ignored until it was time to take them to the shelter. But not these guys! By far, this litter is the most outgoing and friendly litter we have ever rescued from a shelter! The sweetest thing about all of them is, they LOVE to cuddle more than anything! They’ll even bury their sweet soft faces in your neck, almost as if they’re hugging you!
Many herding breeds and mixes may not be the best match for a family with small children. Read MORE about HERDING DOGS. But if you’re looking for a puppy that will be a medium size dog, and you can provide them the training, and exercise they’ll need, please apply and come meet them!
Adopting a puppy is a huge responsibility and takes patience, work and time for socialization, and training. Not everyone is up for the task, so we ask the you read about Adopting a Puppy, to make sure you are one that is! Our other recommendation is to read Before You Bring Your Puppy Home by Ian Dunbar so that you and your new puppy has he best start possible as you begin your journey together.
*All of our dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered before going to their forever home. All have been tested and/or treated for heartworms, are age appropriately vaccinated, micro chipped, and come with 30 days free insurance.
