April--To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf

Hi, all--
We had a good meeting last week at our new venue, the Englewood Library. In April, we'll be reading To the Lighthouse, by Virginia Woolf. If you read it in high school and want to take another crack at it, or if you haven't read it yet, now is your chance! Please join us.

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make it to Englewood this evening after all... So sorry for the last-minute cancellation! I think "To the Lighthouse" is one of the most amazing novels ever, so I'll have to talk to you guys informally the next time I see you and find out what you thought of it.

I always must choose between this group and one of my camera clubs. This time, the camera club wins because a good friend is speaking. Ellen, thanks for introducing me to Virginia Woolf and To the Lighthouse. I enjoyed it. I'd really like to have this group read and discuss one of my all-time favorite books, The Stranger by Albert Camus. I think it fits into our theme of "modern classic" books.

I'm enjoying this book about a million times more than I did when I read it for Ms. Mac's English class...

I will not be able to attend April 3. Look forward to the next meeting. How about Room with a View.
