"May your death be spectacular, and Armok receive your soul."
Among the human towns of Kashgil, nestled in the Bronze Hills, no military outfit is as highly regarded as the Tamun Zulshag, the Dragonhunters. An informal term for any group of adventurous/brave/suicidal souls who put their lives on the line in defense of civilization, Dragonhunters seek out and eliminate all manner of unnatural and beastly threats, from bogeyman infestations to lurking Forgotten Beasts. In so doing, those who survive any length of time at all are assuredly the best of the best, and make full use of such reputation.
System/setting: Vanilla Savage Worlds mechanics, with civilizations, monsters and races from Dwarf Fortress.
Description: combat-focused, high-mortality sandbox. Quests and replacements are readily available from nearby towns, and where you go from there is up to you. Hunt down megabeasts worth your time? Raise an army to tame an Evil region for your civ to expand into? Found and defend your own village? All totally fine.
Roleplaying: present, but fairly light (i.e. "rollplaying") - it's great if your characters have personality and motivation, but they probably won't live long enough to merit a lengthy psych profile.
Party size: flexible. Maybe 1 PC per player, maybe more, maybe hordes of extras instead. It'll have to grow eventually - toss five guys at a bronze colossus and all you'll get is hamburger.
When/where: Dunno. I'm just gauging interest at the moment. Hopefully a fairly regular group at my place in Rockville. Would people want a couple of one-shots first? Jump straight into a weekly group?
