First, I’ll apologize for this being a bit late; I wanted to try to get it out closer to the start of the month, but events conspired against me. In the future, I’m going to try to send it at some point during the first week of every month.
With that said, we only have a couple of things this time around, two playtests and a new meetup.
First up, Brandon ([address removed]) is looking for some playtesters:
I'm one of the game designers of an upcoming tabletop RPG system, called Phase Shift, and I'm wanting to get a group of people together to do some late alpha/ early beta testing. I have a preliminary website up at www.phaseshiftgame.com with the first iteration of the player's handbook, and I was hoping that I might be able to find a group of people willing to do some weekly or so playtesting, either near American University or somewhere metro accessible. It's a very freeform d20 system and I'd be very willing to teach inexperienced RPG players. Thanks!
Along those lines, Nathan (who previous credits include Eldritch Ass Kicking) is looking for some playtesters for a science-fiction RPG that he's working on. You can read all about it in this message board thread: http://www.meetup.com/The-Great-Hall/messages/boards/thread/35588292
Finally, Dave Webb, one of our members, has created his own Meetup devoted specifically to old-school and old-school-style RPGs, including games like RuneQuest, Star Frontiers, and all of the various pre-3.5 incarnations of D&D (and their clones). He's set up shop here: http://www.meetup.com/Old-School-Roleplaying/
And that's it for this time around! If you'd like to send me something to include in the next mailer, get in touch when you can; anything that comes in on or before the 28th, I should be able to get into the August edition.
