Looking for a Senior Python/Java Developer who has strong Java Design Patterns and heavy-duty frameworks experience (Spring, Django, Apache, etc.). It’s a 6+ mos contract that can be worked either in Boston, New York or even remotely (for the right individual). Please take a look at the requirement below & let me know what you think. Know a good Senior Python/Java Developer?

Our client, a leader in the Publishing industry, is seeking a Senior Python Developer to participate in the development of consumer-oriented and B2B web applications and services using Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and MySQL deployed on Linux Servers. This is a 6+ months contract opportunity that can be worked onsite in Boston, Manhattan or even remotely. W2 or C2C (Independent Contractors only) – no 3rd Parties.

Responsibilities:

. Validate specifications from a technical perspective and participate in requirement analysis, development of timelines and project plans.
. Implement systems on time and according to specifications
. Write unit and integration tests, perform load testing, and system profiling that demonstrate the applications perform as specified
. Respond to support requests in a timely and professional manner.

Required Skills:

. 8+ years of coding experience, with code samples that demonstrate the developer's expertise in developing web applications
. Experience writing software applications using Python, Java, and JavaScript
. Experience developing on 2 or more of the following frameworks: Django, Spring Framework, Solr, Apache
. Solid understanding of HTML and cross-browser CSS
. Bash shell script experience
. Experience developing in the Eclipse IDE. The use of Eclipse in the development environment is a requirement
. Candidates should have suitable computer equipment to efficiently test and develop web applications. Access to a UNIX-like operating system for development (Mac OSX or Linux) is required because the code is being developed for Linux environments
