Regeneration Farm CSA

There will be a Regeneration Farm tour at 3:30. We will have several speakers including Joan Gussow, Keith Stewart, Martin Ping, and John Friedman and our hosts, Kevin and Sarah of Regeneration Farm. There will be plenty of good food and ample opportunity to network with other producers, investors and eaters. Please RSVP through this site and let me know if you have a Slow Money Project you would like to share; [masked]. Our hope is to initiate several smaller SM Chapters that will be active in their areas while connected to the larger bioregion of the Greater Hudson Valley. Please indicate if you would like to help start a local chapter in your area. It's a potluck, so be sure to let us know which of your favorite dishes you would like to share with the group. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there!

We were pleasantly surprised by attendance, of course we had the best of the best of the Good Food Movement Leaders speaking at the event and it is hard to turn down a farmer's pot luck dinner... I wish I had more time to talk with the incredible group of activists, farmers, investors, producers, teachers and committed real food eaters who were there.

I think this was a successful first step and look forward to seeing where this will lead. In particular, I look forward to seeing what local groups are spawned from this regional collaborative.

A great turn-out, but too many speakers! Everyone who spoke brought energy and enthusiasm, but in the end, there was not enough time for the group to network. In general, I found myself wishing for stronger facilitation of the program portion. Speakers should have been kept to their 5-10 minute allotments. I had another event to attend and had to leave before hearing Martin Ping, which was disappointing. More disappointing was that I couldn't meet so many of my fellow attendees!
