I would be interested to learn more about the design of highly efficient building envelope assemblies, methods and practices. I know that there are a lot of alternative practices and materials available for construction but they aren't all that common in the marketplace. Personally, I think that many applications that incorporate CMU block construction could be substituted with insulated concrete foam forms and that composite roof decks could use a similar technology. I am currently exploring how product like Quad lock's (decking system) could be use in conjunction with vegetated roofs. Also, I am currently looking for other solar panel racking and mounting systems that could be ballasted with greenroof systems.
An architect who is currently designing systems that pertain to the building envelop that doesn't employ common building practices. I also would like to bring in an engineer who is actively designing and has overseen the installation of interesting rainwater harvesting systems.
Landscape Architect with Capitol Greenroofs. I am primarily interested in not only vegetated roofing systems but also living walls, rainwater harvesting, grey water re-use for irrigation and combining greenroofs with renewable energy systems.
