Testimonials from the Pre-ICW 2013:
“I can only second the comments of the participants in the class. It was a great learning experience with plenty of time for practical application on the water. Don and Fern have the capability to share their incredible kayaking knowledge and also make the learning a fun experience. When the class was over I came away with some sore muscles, an appreciation for a great group of paddlers, and a much higher skill level. It was an incredible weekend! Thanks to all of you!” -LG
“Ditto the other comments. I have had classes with a number of great instructors/coaches and Don and Fern rank with the very best. Their combined skill and knowledge is an awesome combination. The other participants made for a great weekend also. It was a fun mix of people, each making their own unique contribution to the learning environment.” - DH
“Thank you Don and Fern for providing as usual an excellent weekend on and off the water in preparation for the ICW. Your outline and insights will make us better prepared for the ICW and it is always a pleasure to spend time on the water with both of you. You two are a great team and we are better postured for the ICW or our next outing. I'd also like to thank my classmates who also made it a fun-learning weekend and especially our paddling support agent Chuck with his just in time resupply of Ice COLD H2O!! Thank you all so much and look forward to seeing and sharing more as we prepare for the ICW later this month.” -SB
“What a great 2 1/2 days! Capsizing, rescuing ourselves and others, towing people and kayaks, paddling in the wind and waves (and sun), managing a "tour" and "teaching" our peers. Years of kayaking experiences in one very instructional weekend. The care and effort that Don and Fern put into this class was evident. They created a fraternal, non-threatening environment in which we could learn from them, from fellow participants, and through self discovery. What more can one ask? But I must also say that we had a great group of participants all of whom made it easy to work together. Thanks to all.”-FS
