This is a book club for Houston women who love to read. We are a group of women in our 20s and 30s who read mostly contemporary fiction and non-fiction. Titles we have read in the past include Half of a Yellow Sun by Adichie, Water for Elephants by Gruen, The Lovely Bones by Sebold, and All the Pretty Horses by MacCarthy. We generally meet inside the loop at casual restaurants or cafes. We meet the third Sunday of every month from 2:00-2:30 for general chat and the book discussion starts at 2:30. Our members are free to join us for the chat, the book discussion, or both!

Currently this club is closed to new members. We grew to over 100 members, and have found the logistics of organizing such a large group into a meaningful book club to be quite difficult. Therefore, we have decided not to grow anymore for the time being. There appears to be much interest in this sort of book club, and I highly encourage those interested in having such a group to form a new club.
